Here is our first egg picture! well, picture of the first hard shell. A soft shell was found earlier that day when I let the girls out for the yard run, but this is the official hard shell! YAY

Just got our first egg!! Our 19 week old BR laid it and even in the nesting box, pretty good for her first time.

Here is my first egg on the left. Laid July 5 2013. It was from a Phoenix pullet. I put it next to a Welsummer egg to show how cute and tiny it is.

Nice! Congrats! When my Cuckoo Maran started laying she had some light eggs just like this. She layed for about a month. Then took a short break... When she started again they were way darker. I didn't know that could happen.

Thanks for filling me in. The last 2 she's laid were darker but still nowhere near "chocolate". I got my first egg from my Ameraucana today. Sadly she laid it off the roost and it broke.

I have six hens and 4 of them have been laying for the last month. today the other 2 decided to join in! One is shelless.

Finally after 23 weeks we got our first eggs !!!!!!! Yeaaa it's a shame we lost the other two ckikens in the last week to dogs.
