We were very excited when Wilma laid her 1st egg.

I have 8 hens, 1 bantam rooster that crows no matter what time of day! one of the hens is also a bantam. Speaking of which, what size/style of eggs so they usually lay?

It depends on the breed of bantam for style of egg and size, but I can give an estimate. The egg's usually run about the size of a ping pong ball sometimes smaller. Like I said it depends on the breed of bantam.

My favorite chicken Einstein laid our first egg 7/31/13!! Einstein is an Easter Egger and she is always the first to do everything. She is a smart chicken!! This came out as a beautiful mint green.

My first egg!!! found it two days ago in the nesting box...I have since received one per day from whichever hen in my 5 bird flock is laying. So excited to try it! Looks perfect!!
