Hey thanks!!!

The colors ARE really pretty enough for a wall.

Today my Slate black legged EE layed one that is a bit Bluer.... it was HER first one! yippee!

I need to look on the color chart for hers now.

Then a few hours later (I'd moved them to my new 2nd coop which is movable) so they could get some fresh greens and bugs, etc... (more omega 3's right?).. then found ANOTHER Egg... this is the 2nd one for my green legged EE.

2 in one day.(both girls)... and even 2 days in a row (for green)... happy, happy day! This is Cooollll!

I'm curious to see the different colors that EE's can lay? Does leg color have something to do with it in identifying? So far I think so with my 2 girls. Thanks again and congrats to everyone getting their first EGGS this week!

I'm so "eggcited" I had to share! Our RIR girl is 20 weeks to the day and layed her first egg this morning and I went out again in the afternoon and she layed another.

They are tiny but perfect!

My black sexlinks and BRs are 18 1/2 weeks old. I've been looking all over for eggs, sometimes even coming home on my lunch break just hoping to find an egg...

Today, I came home and found one brown egg, perfectly placed in the nest box. It sure was clean, and really cold. Didn't take but a minute to realize that my husband and son thought it would be funny to put a store-bought egg in there to trick me. Not funny!!

Two eggs in one day?

Seriously though, congrats! And they don't look tiny to me.

They were small, I think me trying to take the picture upclose made them out of proportion. We cracked them open when the kids got home from school and they were perfect and delicious!

My 4 RIR's all laid their first eggs the day before they turned 5 months old. My Buff Orp and EE's and Bantams are 5 months old today so I am watching for their eggs. The EE's will probably be green but blue would be cool. I will post some when they lay.

I was in World Market and looked at the size of their large and extra large eggs and I was shocked at how big they were. I thought my eggs were pretty big but I guess it has been too long since I bought eggs.

We got some first eggs today from two girls!!

Problem is, I really don't know who laid what! LOL

The big egg is either a BO or Sussex, the little one is either a silkie or quail anterp egg!
