I got my first egg today, too. Not sure if it's from a BR or a BSL. I think the BR maybe. Anyway, it's little, but I think it's perfect. I've waited very impatiently for this egg. LOL.

That blue egg is beautiful. I have 3 EE's that I am looking for eggs from any day now. I hope they are blue, but expecting green. Blue and pink would be great. Is there anyway of knowing what color they will lay? That is probably a stupid question.

It seems the leg color determines the egg color. All my EE's have light green to olive colored legs and all lay those color eggs. I get pale green to dark green eggs.

So they can have pink legs or blue legs or orange legs too. I think mine have green legs.

yes, now I kind of wish I had gotten more than one chick- they were all really big and healthy. Oh well, I have a BR too and she hasn't laid her first egg yet so I am excited about that.

I don't know about any other colored legs other than gray, blue tint and the greens on EE's. I've never known them to lay any other colors other than light blue to bright blue and light green to olive green and anything in between. I get pale pale green, light greens and a nice medium green from mine. I've seen anything from baby blue to robin's egg blue with other's EE's.

I'd love to see pics of any other colors from EE's that are outside of the green and blue shades. I've seen pinkish eggs from other breeds.

Here are some eggs I got from my EEs (other than the dark brown speckled one on top... it was from one of my golden comets)

I normally green olive green, light blue, light green, as well as these light brown eggs (like the one on the left in the bowl) from my EEs.

Those are beautiful, I love the speckeled brown egg. I can't wait until my golden campines start to lay, I really want to see what their eggs look like. One of my red caps just started laying and her eggs are peachy cream colored and peewee sized.
