These are from my red Sex links, that are 19wks old. They were very considerate and gave me a fantastic present for my Anniversary!

My Cuckoo Marans Gertrude (Gertie) laid this egg. I'm disappointed in the color, it's barely darker than my other brown layers. I'm pretty sure this is actually her third egg. I found a broken egg under her roost and my mom had 4 eggs (I only had 3 layers before that) while she was chicken sitting last Saturday. Now I'm on the countdown for my Americana Hazel to start laying. She did here first "squat" yesterday.

WooHoo!!! Our first egg from our GLWs!!!

Found it in their sand near their food. Not sure why not in one of their boxes with the "nest eggs".

They are about 18 or 19 weeks old. A little early for starting to lay from what I understand. But my son about dropped it when he held it he was so excited! hehehe\


It is next to a large white grade a store-bought egg for reference.
