...didn't see the golf balls at first, do you still have them in the nests?

I had the golf balls in the nests for a long time, but thought it was having the opposite effect, so I took them out. Think I will put them back in and see what happens!

Finally a third egg! Two more eegrs to go, hope one lays blue. Still waiting for the other brown leghorn and the wellsummer, but its cold here, might have to put a light on them, 24 weeks and still waiting.

It's not pretty, but got my first egg today, Thanksgiving Day.
No shell though. I think it's the delaware cause she is singing the song this morning.
And of course frozen.

Now that's different, I've never seen one so vibrant without a shell. Congrats anyway.

So I went to put the girls to bed and make sure the water wasn't frozen (and the girls) since it sat around -25 C today...and loooky here what I found! The egg is frozen with a small hairline crack but the shell itself seems formed OK. Now here's the odd thing..the girls are about 13 weeks old so this is a surprise, however there are 3 of the 11 that appear more 'grown up' than the others, so maybe we will be having more of these surprises.

little OG our Old English Game hen laid her first egg today(should be easy to figure out which one)
