We bought some layer hens today that are between 7-9 months old and we were home for 45 minutes and got our first egg!

and it's pink!!

LoL, no I saw a brown egg that was definitley speckled on the first couple of pages of this thread. I would be interested in knowing what breed it is from.

We got our first egg Friday afternoon.

We are now up to 4 eggs in less than 4 days. Pretty good for a 3 hen, 5 month and 2 week old, flock
