Your eggs are great, I know how you feel about them. I got my 1st egg on June 30th and have gotten 17 so far, one of my EE gave me a double yoke egg and it was so blue, my other girl is giving a very light brown almost pink. My other girls are RIR and I have the most eggs from them. a darker brown. I never thought about frying Okra and onion with the eggs, that really looks yummy, I will try that.

Actually those aren't onions, they're Chinese red noodle beans (a type of yard-long beans) cut in short pieces. I do usually use onions though. And usually I also throw in some cornmeal and flour and make what we always called "fried okra" but is nothing like what you get at restaurants. It comes out like a thick corn pancake with lots of okra in it. Mmmm. I was just in a hurry today and trying to concentrate on the photos!

Hi All,

UPDATE-

Our best day for the 14 RIR pullets, er - hens!
I collected six eggs, including the first Jumbo Egg.

I wish the rest of you success; you deserve it!

These are my first 2 eggs from my 6 Isa browns just 4 hours after I picked them up. They are supposed to be about 20 weeks old. In the first 36 hours I've had these girls, I've gotten 9 eggs!

Is that common? I thought they were only supposed to lay 1 egg every 24 hours. Anyway, it's a great start!

My first egg came when they were 19weeks and one day.

I believe its my cuckoo maran that layed the egg.

It ranked peewee but not to worry im sure they will get bigger.

This thread makes me jealous. All you people getting them at 18-20 weeks. My girl is NINE MONTHS and I get NOOOOO egg. She's been squatting for 3 weeks and NOTHING. I've searched the run, and coop for even a FRAGMENT of a yolk or shell and NOTHING
