My first egg was yesterday.

Not sure who laid it--have 18 week old "barnyard mix", this one was in the nesting box. Plus, I have 15 week old EE's that combs just now are turning red.

Can you tell it's been a rainy, muddy mess here the last few days?

She actually jumped back into the nest box like she was showing it off.

The egg was cold, so it had been there awhile.

Hello, here's our firsts (daughter and egg!). This was laid about three weeks ago, we know who laid it, she hasn't missed a day since and is very loud, and punctual. Her four sisters are still eggless! What's going on? - she can't carry the load forever! they are all EE's, all very similiar. it's crazy!
