We got our first egg. It is only about 2 and half inches long but it is a start. Chickens are 20 weeks old. Color is light brown but flash went off so it looks white.

 
Last Thurs, Oct. 1st, produced my first Delaware Blue Hen egg. Another arrived on Friday. Both were fertilized by my DBH roo Angus!

These came from red stars. They just started laying and this one on the left weighed 3 ounces and was a double yolk!! It wouldn't really fit in the egg carton (in the egg groove) & I couldn't shut the lid. lol

We think this is from our D'Uccle/Serama hybrid, just shy of five months old:

The egg on the right is a standard large egg.
 
We finally got our first egg Sunday!!! Now I truly understand what all the excitement is about. We were ridiculous thrilled about this. Here's a photo, with a large egg from the supermarket next to it for comparison:
