It's been exactly 1 month since we got our 1st egg. We've been getting 3-4 a day now. But today, we got our very 1st Green Egg from one of our EE's. I think it was Queenie as I've seen her in the nesting box, and if so it would be appropriate as she is name after my mother (her nickname is Queenie) and her favorite color is green.

So excited to finally have an egg and to join the forum!

I have been lurking for some time so thank you all for your help (even tho you didn't know you were giving it to me!)

Got my first egg this past Tuesday (at 25 weeks and 2 days) from my Barred Rock, Nigella. The first one was 2 oz and a bit oddly shaped but since then she has given me a nicely shaped 2 1/2 oz egg every day, although we are still working out the coloring a bit...some pigment issues etc...but the shells are very tough (which I was worried about) and she uses the nesting box like a champ!

Now she just needs to give a pep talk to my other mother cluckers (Henna the Welsummer and Poppy the Easter Egger)!
