Finally my first BCM egg today!

And the unbearded white silkie hen wins!!! She was the first to lay an egg on the farm here! It is slightly mishapen but not bad for a first! The RSL's should be following suit in a few weeks.

Here's my first Cuckoo Marans Egg. Crazy Mary is 24 weeks today!!! What a good girl. I like the color even though it is "just" hatchery quality. Shown here with my Barred Plymouth Rock girls' eggs. Quite large for a first egg. Its the one in front.

Me too - 7 month old girls I figured wouldn't lay until spring - and here it is, such a wonderful shock to find it in the nest box this evening wahoo!!

(It didn't come with the smile - my 7yo boy added that!)
