Post Your Game Cam Pics Here!!!

Yes, I definitely have bears here. Have caught one twice just a few feet to the left of this location right next to the fence. Yikes, BEAR? Again? Hmm. Did not see any tracks, but the piles of shavings next to the fence line were dug through pretty thoroughly. Better be vigilant when I go to the barn. Here is the bear, first time I saw one in person, a young adult, then I got this one about a year later on the game camera in almost the same spot.
The deposited poop is on the right side of the chainlink gate and this bear was on the left side at the same fence.

Acorns was my first impression too....but with nothing for scale I wasn't sure.
Weird time of year to be eating acorns tho?
I don't know. They're everywhere so if they were just there and a critter was hungry, guess he/she could have had a snack, but most of them are pretty rotten by now. If they aren't acorns, I have no idea what they are. Could be some kind of seed after all, but they sure look like acorns. You know a big seed that looks like acorns?

I would say, just by size, it was the bear.

Gulp. Though I saw the first one eye to eye and got the second on the game cam (could have been the same bear older), it just didn't occur to me to think of bear scat for some reason. I mean, looking up pictures of black bear scat online, I'd say that's what it is, now that it was suggested *thank you, by the way!*

Wonders if those acorns came out of a squirrel stash...picturing bear paw going into hole in tree.
I had that very thought! They would be in better shape than those laying around on the ground, I think.

I don't have any on my property but there are persimmon trees on the property next to ours and to me that looks like persimmons. There are several varieties of persimmons.

Could be. I tried to find my photos of the scat with the persimmon seeds that I took awhile back, but I have no idea what folder it's in, sorry.

The only thing on the pasture cam this a.m. was a raccoon from overnight plus the usual deer. And what tore our garbage up was one skinny raccoon, looked to be the same one as on the driveway cam. I moved that camera up on the deck to point at the garbage bag that DH had put all the stuff back into that was all over the deck. It was like a movie. It went on all night. Here are a few shots from it, plus one close up from the pasture-cam. I still like seeing deer. Someone said that if they looked like warthogs, they would not be overrunning the country. I agree. They are beautiful animals.

He/she came back after we'd cleaned up, me having heard this through my bedroom window. He got a salad dressing bottle from the plastics bag and worked very hard for a long time to get into that thing.
