Post Your Game Cam Pics Here!!!

Pics
Ok so I got alot of pics of the tree's moving in the wind from this morning, early.. I will have to find a new place to put my trail cam. I have some banana peels and apple peels that I am going to put out as bait. We saw a huge Buck in our backyard this past year but could not find him when it came to hunting season. I guess I will try to set it up in the field some where... Or by our apple tree's... Where do you think I might have the best luck? Field or Apple tree's? Oh, we also are planning on getting a new trail cam here soon since ours is over exposing most of the pictures.

I would go with the apple trees, it's a good food source for a lot of animals, plus the peels will help. Who knows what you will see out there.

Please help answer a question for me. I want to buy and set-up a game cam. I've read all through this thread and know which game cams are suggested. I've done searches on the web to find the best prices. I've even watched the videos that the manufacturers made about their cams. My problem is wind! I live in a rural area that's flat and windy all the time! Some of the game cams are so sensitive, people reviewing the cams have commented that the cam comes on when a leaf blows across. I want to put a game cam looking across my pond toward my chicken house. We've had visits from raccoons and foxes before. I'm not sure if the koi in the pond attract them or the smell of chickens. But now I worry the wind blowing the smaller trees and such will activate the cam and I will end up with video of lots of moving plant matter instead of the predators we want to watch. Has anyone else had trouble with wind? Is there a game cam you would recommend that won't record branches breaking off of small trees and such? Even if I mount the cam where wind won't be blowing against it, the pond and chicken house are out in the open. I've enjoyed this thread so much and learned alot but I haven't seen anyone post about trouble with wind! Thanks for any help and advice.

game cameras have a range of about 45 feet so anything with in 45 feet in front of it the camera will see. yes some cameras are to sensitive and will go off if branch or blade of grass moves and its with in about 15 feet in front of it..

Mike W is dead on with the basic operations.

My suggestion is to buy a camera that has a sensor "sensitivity" adjustment. On my primos I can adjust the sensitivity (l/m/h) that will allow it to pick up the movement of branches or less sensitive to only pick up objects right in the center that are moving. I always max my sensitivity out to catch those little things on the edges. I do have to look through lots of pictures of grass and trees but for me it's worth it to make sure I get every creature large or small in the area. I have a moultrie camera that takes better pictures but has no sensitivity adjustment. I don't get near the empty frames but I also feel like I may be missing the small stuff. My next project is to set both cameras up together and test. Good luck.
