Please help answer a question for me. I want to buy and set-up a game cam. I've read all through this thread and know which game cams are suggested. I've done searches on the web to find the best prices. I've even watched the videos that the manufacturers made about their cams. My problem is wind! I live in a rural area that's flat and windy all the time! Some of the game cams are so sensitive, people reviewing the cams have commented that the cam comes on when a leaf blows across. I want to put a game cam looking across my pond toward my chicken house. We've had visits from raccoons and foxes before. I'm not sure if the koi in the pond attract them or the smell of chickens. But now I worry the wind blowing the smaller trees and such will activate the cam and I will end up with video of lots of moving plant matter instead of the predators we want to watch. Has anyone else had trouble with wind? Is there a game cam you would recommend that won't record branches breaking off of small trees and such? Even if I mount the cam where wind won't be blowing against it, the pond and chicken house are out in the open. I've enjoyed this thread so much and learned alot but I haven't seen anyone post about trouble with wind! Thanks for any help and advice.
