I'm so far out that no one can see my fences let alone a coyote hanging on it. I have shot one, but at the time I had the wrong ammo in the rifle. I was shooting squirrels earlier and still had the squirrel ammo in. Long story short. The coyote has been back a couple of times since I shot him. He has killed several of my birds in the past but not since I shot him. That day he killed 2 and injured 1. I would dig a nice deep hole.
All the old time farmers around here used to hang foxes and dingoes on their fences. My parents lived in Texas back in the 1980's & 1990's. People in there area did hang dead coyotes on the fences there. They were told that it helped to keep the live ones away.
Nice pics. Not too hard to find here.Too bad its mangy...or not, depending how you look at it.
Haven't been in the woods for weeks, so its nice to see some action.
Bottom pic is my dog. He was 15 minutes too late for the fox. He's been chasing them off a lot lately. The foxes are vocalizing right now for mates.![]()

Hopefully you won't relocate again, but end it. Contact a trapper, might get a nice price for the pelt.I had originally caught this bobcat on the game cam before I got this one up close and personal- less than 5 feet away. This photo was taken two days before he chewed a hole through the side of my chicken coop (through the run door) and killed 40 chickens. When you do this>He was live trapped, transported away, and This is usually what happens> has already come back. Determined- is outside my coop and duck houses almost every night looking for a way in. Live traps are out once again...
The bobcat's territory, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, can be as large as 126 sq miles. This of course depends on a variety of factors such as prey distribution and gender. Depending on these factors the territories are commonly in a 25 - 30 sq mile range and as little as 8 sq miles for males, 5 sq miles for females. They mark their territory with feces, urine, and by clawing trees or large shrubs. Though the bobcat prefers rabbits and hares, it will hunt anything from insects, chickens, and small rodents to deer. Prey selection depends on location and habitat, season, and abundance. Some hunters go after bobcats because their pelts make fine trophies. Other hunters kill them to protect small game populations and pets.I had originally caught this bobcat on the game cam before I got this one up close and personal- less than 5 feet away.
