We've been wondering why our feed troughs are licked clean in the mornings - now we know. He's quite a porker!

I got this young buck, who is growing up here. His rack is getting bigger now, not just little spikes.

Antlers stop growing/forming around july/august, the 'velvet' stage, then they start to harden up.

You are correct. Could be a different buck or it might be that the last pics of him were earlier than I remember. I'm not sure when the last time was that I caught him on camera was, guess the last picture could have been summer sometime. It was either further back than I thought or this is a different buck.

I'm kind of excited to see bucks on the game camera. I have rarely caught them here. And it's nice that the dogs we've had trouble with recently have not been seen so maybe the deer can feel more safe on the property for the time being.
