Is this what I think it is? It's hard to see, but right in the middle of this picture, it looks like a fox. Apparently, it was moving quickly. I have another picture that just shows up as a blur.

Coyote maybe cause of tail but looks kinda like a fox one of the two

Size wise looks like a fox if it was in new hampsire, in idaho or wyoming it could be a coyote, but typically they are larger in the east

Yes, it is too small to be a coyote, although I have heard them howling in the neighborhood. It must be a fox. Any advice?

Hi Laturcotte1,
There are lots of coyotes in this area. They don't usually pose any risk to humans, but once in a while you will see something on the news about a confrontation with a rabid one. I can hear them once in a while, but have not seen one for a very long time. They are very elusive where I am. It is very eerie to hear their howls in the night.
