Finally a thread that cheers me up!
Just got a call last night that someone complained to the mayor about our chickens
We have no bylaws that say we can NOT have them. They actually have nothing that says we can or can't. All I have found in the bylaws about farming/chickens/whatever is that one of their objectives is (and I quote): "To facilitate continued agricultural and forestry operations". I don't really think this pertains to me, but it's good to read anyway. They are concerned about the possibility of smell in the warmer months. Uh.. Yeah.. We are in Canada and it will not be warm until July
Okay.. So back to the thread. Awww. I just love your Gloria! She has to be my favourite out of your three hens. She is unique and makes such hilarious expressions! How are her leg mites now? Have you tried to wrap them after smothering the legs with Vaseline? Despite the leg mites, she is so obviously happy.
Because I never show off my head hen, Denny the Delware. This is the best picture of her. She is not easy to photograph. I find white hens more difficult to capture with an awful camera
She is still in the process of a molt. I really wonder how long this is going to take. She has looked pretty rough for the past month. She is quite moody as well
Look at this one closely
Does he not look like Foghorn?
It's okay everyone, He was just running around trying to hide his piece of bread!
He's so fast!
Here is McDonalds - She was on time out from her nest of golf balls. I closed all doors to the barn and the coop so she could get some fresh air, exercise, food and water. She was
not impressed with my plan.
My duck was hesitant of my dog at first, but now he hangs out with him easily!
