Post your ''Other'' Uses for feed bags

  1. I saw earlier today someone wanting empty feed bags.

People were saying some of the things they used their empty feed bags for and there were some great uses.

Please post here how you use your empty feed bags.

    I love new ideals. [IMG]

One of the things I use the empties for is trash bags.

    Post your uses:

Trash bags is a given, but we do use some around plants to help kill weeds and hold moisture in, mainly the paper type.

I turn mine into recyclable shopping bags. I'm always asked where I got them, when I tell people I made them, they go crazy for them and want one. They are great for 101 uses.

Wow I love that idea. How do you make them. Thanks!!
  6. I use the woven-sorta-plastic ones as bags to dispose of used kitty litter. This week I cut some apart and used them as weatherproofiing on the wooden roof of a chicken tractor. I plan to use some on the sides of a pallet coop I'm working on, too. I've used them as impromptu plant pots - roll the top down till it's the height you need, fill it with potting soil &/or dirt, and plant. Also good for carrying things in the back of the truck; I've put my luggage in them to protect my stuff from rain. Great for protecting the carpet in the trunk of the car. All kinds of uses for these bags!

I make them too. Just Google shopping bags from feed bags. There are plenty of directions out there!
