potatoes?

can my flock have mashed potatoes? ive heard they cant have potato peels or raw potatoes is that true? i think they would really like them. and im talking about freshly made mashed potatoes not from the box thank you in advance.

I avoid giving them raw potatoes and peels, but I feed them mashed potatoes all the time with no problems.

Potatoes are fine. You don't want to feed them green peelings. They contain a chemical called solanine that isn't very good for things with nervous systems. It's mostly concentrated in parts of the plant exposed to light. Cooking the potato mostly destroys the compound.
