I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!! I'M SO LUCKY!!

An old timer from Maine Bob Murphy (got his name from Bob Blosl) just called me - I had contacted him back in December about getting some of his silver pencil flock - well out of the blue, he calls and says he's got a real good looking one year old rooster for me!!! Can you believe it....Dreams do come true.

I agree! You have accomplished so much in a relatively short time. I'm so glad that you are getting a rooster.

Throw some of your luck my way... I've been trying to find a source for better SGDs for many years.

what's a SGD, maybe I know someone?

Silver Gray Dorking. Dorkings of this variety, that are true to type and weight, may be non existent. I've been looking for many years. For now, I'm working with what I have.
I got to see Walt look over Michele's SGDs after the class. He had a lot more positive comments than I expected, considering what I hear from other Dorking breeders. That and seeing you find what you needed gives me hope.

When I chat with peeps I'll ask...are you on some of the facebook groups? Seems like there are a few that have them...again, I don't know about the breed and you probably have already turned over all those stones but it can't hurt

There are hatcheries that sell them, so there are people who have and sell them, but they are hatchery type. I'm a member of the Dorking Club, SPPA and am on the FB Dorking group. It never hurts to ask and I appreciate your offer of help. If good ones are out there, they probably belong to a breeder who does not use the internet and keeps to themselves.

Agreed, I've found that to be true when I'm on a quest

Many of the old timers do not use a computer. I'm still looking too Kim. You might try Larry Stallings here in central Cali. He has a lot of rare large fowl. I will PM you his phone #.

Walt
