Poultry Breeds of Spanish Ancestry

Was the first picture taken at around 6 months or something? I ask because his face is so much smoother. Please don't take offense as I certainly don't intend any, but I don't really like the rumpled face of these birds. If they were to stay nice and smooth like the first picture, I'd be all over them! They are quite beautiful!

Oh, and welcome to the thread Sally! Nice to have you here!

do they ever throw another color feather when they are young?

The Empordanesa and Penedesenca walk very proudly
and quickly
nope pure white, I was told he is extremely close to SOP on the Legbar thread not that I understand all that, I just want to find a use for him, so I dont have to sell him

adding to what I said earlier

They are to have a smooth face by standards I have yet to see a true smooth face even in old photos/drawings but is it more faulty to have red above eyes? I see most wfbs online have so much red and I was told that is harder to get rid of as well We are growing some of our young out, we have hatched 25+ chicks a month ago and are growing them out, we will keep just a few and definitely growing out 2 males. We have grown some out already but we have some added hens so I am really excited to see how the boys look

You mix your mins and wfbs? what color eggs do the mins lay white as well?
