Poultry nipples-Farmtek

So...does anyone know the difference between the "layer" nipples and the "broiler" nipples?? All of the QC links that you guys have posted point to the broiler nipples they sell but I haven't seen anyone on this site raising backyard broilers.

QC also sells layer nipples that do look a little different.

I also have the stainless steel ones from farmtek and had the same problem.
I solved it by buying a small length of 5/16 clear plastic hose from tractor supply.
Put thr hose in boiling water for about 30 seconds to soften and straighten.
Cut it in 1.5 inch pieces and push down on the nipple casing inside my water bucket.
Works perfectly.
I also use a 50 amp aquarium heater to keep it from freezing.

Go to ebay I bought 10 for 10 dollars. I had the same problem you need to get the plastic ones. The weight is sealed in it so it can't come out.

i use the ones that can come apart so i can clean them once in a while
