1. Limerick
There once was a lusty young rooster
Who needed a rock for a booster
To service a hen
he wanted again
After she first said okay to a newster.

2. Haiku
Orange hen broods alone
On green eggs in green dog bed.
Small dog is not pleased.

3. Limerick
There was a duck
who had a funny cluck.
and then he started to peck
at my neck
and then he got the pluck!!

4. Limerick
I once had a hen that was broody.
She made the most foul smelling doodie.
Her eggs she kept warm
till all chicks were born,
and that would make anyone moody!

5. Limerick
There once was a rooster named Fred
He was not right in the head
He chased the hens
And wrecked the pens
But he sure did taste good with bread

6. Sonnet
Our little Stuffing
a lone turkey for now
he tries to be a chicken
but doesn't know how

he's gangly and awkward
a real black sheep
when it comes to snuggling
he's left out of the heap

so I'll hatch out some friends
his own little flock
he shall be their king
and boy, won't that rock?

7. Limerick
Here I set upon a nest
no time to rest or have a fest
the 20 eggs
become 40 legs!
I am set to do my best!!

8. Haiku
The sun shines brightly
Spring has come to the barnyard
Chicks work on their tans

9. Limerick
There once was a man with blue eyes
who strove to be one of the guys
but his wife knew better
they were birds of a feather
hubby snuggling chicks she did spy

10. Sonnet
For my BackYard chicks anew,
hope no cockerels in the clutch.
I heard cock-a-doodle doo,
and had the poor fellow for lunch.

11. Limerick
There once was a little brown hen,
who wouldn't be kept in a pen.
She'd fly to the top,
do 3 flips and a flop,
and find herself free once again.

12. Limerick
My son pleads
These are chickens he needs
White with spots
A crest that flops
Spitzhaubens now he feeds

13. Haiku
Chicken Little screamed
"Something is hitting my head!"
The sky is falling!

14. Limerick
there once was ugly pullet
she even had a mullet
she grew into a beautiful hen
all the ribbons she did win

until it ended with a bullet

15. Limerick
There once was a crazy old man,
Came up with a so simple plan.
He'd get a few chicks,
He thought just for kicks,
Now they're all over his land.

16. Limerick
A mother hen clucked with pride
Her newly hatched chick jumped on her back for a ride
If they ever had to part
It would surly break the mother's heart
Even though she had twenty more at her side
