And yes, it seems all-rounders are my lot this time round... I guess it all depends on which type of hybrid I manage to pick off the market - I can never really be bothered putting in any serious work to get a particular sort of bird.
Wow - it deducts so much money for me to make a contest. I was beginning to wonder where all that cash was vanishing to. Haha!
It's always fluctuating there though - never really paid overt attention to it until now.
Money's not so much use to me on PL, I suppose that's why I sell my birds for $1...
ETA: It's also quite interesting how they let you take loans in this version. I would've done it, except I don't want to spend my life in debt to some other big business that just wants to make profits off me

That's right - SPs are definitely worth more to me as well.
I breed to those really high-stat studs on the market. Means the offspring are a little inbred, but nowhere near as bad as it was getting back on the old PL. I've vowed to keep them below 10% now I have a fresh start.

This is how my breeding plan was supposed to end up.
I got up to Nerium and Atropa, but they were both females. So I kept breeding for a rooster on Nerium's side. Unfortunately one day, I released Solar Fire. So I tried making a male Atropa, but that didn't work out since both Thank you NancyJ and Balsam were in their late 80's, so I still ended up with 2 females. As a last resort I bred both hens to Motivation before he passed at 90 too. Now I have Violetation who has 0 inbreeding, but Ultramotive had 37% inbreeding. I immediately bred those two together. I say 'had' because not long after the breeding, another accidental release occurred. After this chick, who I will name Castor anyway, I will probably have to settle with a VioletationXChili, and pay Chili's stud fee or else end up with a 80% inbred chicken. I really didn't want to cross with Jazmine's bird, but I have no choice since anything else will inbreed, and she's the only other person who knew how to bypass the stat cap. I swear, NancyJ has this whole game plotted against me!
Ah, that's nice. I know nothing about breeding for color. But your birds Dark willow, Rosie, Raining bows, and especially Getting there my Darling are exquisite in coloration.
