And I've got the figure out why two sets of birds keep throwing hybrids even though they have no other bloodlines, and why two other unrelated bloodlines are causing a 14% inbreeding rate. *sigh*

why?

Because the whole reason I bred the first two pairs were for purebreds, and about the second pair is because the inbreeding penalty on contests is a major pain. :barnie I bred for a dozen eggs last night, and while 7 of them are nice... only 3 are actually useful due to these unintended consequences.
