Anyone else have a problem with powder/residue build-up in their feeders when using crumbles? I would have to go out and clean the little trough part with my fingers every day in order to get the crumbles to fall through into the trough for them to reach. As soon as I switched to pellets, the problem was solved.

Yep Yep and Yes..... I have the same issues I just scoop the dust with a large spoon into a little bowl every so often and when I mix the treats I mix on top of the rice. spaghetti, mix it in the yogurt mix it into the cottage cheese etc.. Good luck.

ChickenNugget was the crumbles you were feeding Layena by chance? We were having terrible problems with Layena. I'm talking about a couple of 3lb coffee cans full from each bag of feed! We switched to Southern States brand layer crumbles and now I have maybe a cup of dust from a bag of feed. Plus the chickens seem to eat the Southern States feed much better.

And Steve, we did the same as you with the dust, just mixed it in with their wet extras and they ate it up.
