80 / 55 = 1.45 grams

80 is the number of mg a 2 kg bird would get, 55 is the number of mg per gram. This would be the total per dy dose, and I'm not sure if it would be better to give it 2-3 times a day.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll see if I can find out on the frequency. I know with my horses I give antibiotics full dose 1X daily.

Hello

I hope you can clarify dosage requirements.

I have the powdered form of Tetravet. I am to feed my hen this medication via a eyedropper as she will not actively drink.

How many mg Tetravet should I give her ? In other words, is it OK to mix as per the instructions (1 gram per litre) and then give her an eyedropper full of the water mixed with Tetravet ?

Can you overdose the bird if you give it too high a concentration of Tetravet ?
