PPBA Show in Stockton, CA in January?

I was just thinking about that this morning. I wonder if Emu's are allowed to be entered, and maybe people just don't? If so you may see me with an Emu at the Next show

LOL My DH was the one who bought the first one! He claims he was breaking the ice, because I was being too frugal, even though I wanted things. Thanks hubby, $200 later we left the show

Yeah usually I have to reign hubby in! But after he went crazy with the breeders raffle tickets and we came home with 4 new pairs of chickens at the Bakersfield showI think he learned his lesson!. DDs and I each won a pair at that show. LOL

Anna,

I was at the show yesterday and only saw two Welsummers. They were both hens and one had a health issue. It looked sick and "health" was written on the ID tag. They were from two different breeders. Was one of these birds your's? As I said, they were the only two I saw at the show. I might have missed some in the Sale Barn, we didn't get there until 1:00 PM
I did find a Silver Lakenvelder hen that a young lady from Moss beach was showing and I bought her. The hen took first place but with a smile on the young girls face, she said, "I think it is because she was the only one." :) Still need a couple of Silver Lakenvelder hens if anybody knows of any.

Nope. I got mine delivered special from Didolan via Laurieks. They never went near the sales barn. My new lovely ladies are full-grown laying standard-size pullets. Good luck finding what you want.

Good luck with your Wellies Anna. I have three hens and a rooster presently and have twenty chicks coming from Nate Vanwey in the Spring.

DH and I are on the Search for SQ Gold Laced Cochin eggs, LF. If you know where to Find some, let me know. I have an email into Rare Feather Farms, Wish I had known that Hubby wanted these yesterday, I would have talked to some of the folks showing them, they were grorgeous!
