Yes.
Moxley and Dixie and R.I.P. Cocoa all had colts last April.
Moxley ( Lorna Doone's Mother ) had a horse colt ( Boy ) named Jeb Stewart, Dixie also had a horse colt his name was Allan Breck Stewart, Breck for short and then R.I.P. Cocoa ( My horse ) also had a tiny little dinky horse colt named Little Bit. We traded Jeb for a Bay Mare last year, then we halter trained Breck and Little Bit this Summer and we even rode them! LOL

CAREFUL WITH THIS.... MANY PLACES IN THIS WORLD THERE ARE NO MARKETS FOR THEM.

So what does that have to do with the price of beans? The OP and I live in the US and Canada respectively and there is a market for buttons in both countries as pets and their feed is cheap.

I sold 2 half grown males and 3 baby buttons to a petshop awhile back ... all 3 of the babies died and he sold the two males in less than two weeks. I was hopeing he'd ask for more but so far .. I did find a person that I might be able to strike a bargain w/.

Yeah, I dont know if I would entrust button chicks to a pet shop. They're far too fragile. Then if they die they probably wont buy more from you. Adults on the other hand seem to sell like hotcakes. I think its because they can be put into an existing cage of finches and the like without crimping the amount of space either have since these are ground dwellers.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEANS AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH BEING STUCK WITH MINI QUAIL AND HAVING NO OUTLET FOR THEM. THERE ARE QUITE A FEW FOLKS ON THIS FORUM LIKELY TO PAY YOU TO TAKE SOME BECAUSE THEY CANNOT SELL THEM, MY POINT WAS BASICALLY FOR THE OP TO CHECK THIS OUT BEFORE JUMPING IN WITH BOTH FEET ONLY TO DROWN IN A SEA OF PIGMYS THAT THEY CANNOT LIQUIDATE IF THAT IS A POSSIBLE GOAL. NOT TO MENTION THAT HERE IN THE STATES DEPENDING ON YOUR STATE REGULATIONS PERMITTING MAY BE NEEDED TO OWN, ADDITIONAL PERMITTING MAYBE NEEDED TO BREED OR PROPAGATE THE SPECES, AND YET EVEN MORE PERMITTING MAY BE NEEDED TO SELL THE LIL TRIBLE QUAIL. THERE ARE A GREAT MANY DIFFERENCES IN HERE AND THERE. YOU HAVE DIFFERENT COLORS AVAILABLE THERE THAT WE DO NOT AS OF YET AT LEAST IN COTURNIX SPECES, AND I KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF YOUR LAWS REGUARDING PERMITTING. NOT TO MENTION THAT WHILE YOU MAY ENJOY A LARGE SALES BASE WHERE YOU ARE SOME OTHER SUCKER 60 MILES DOWN THE ROAD MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THE 1ST BIRD/ EGG. ALL I'M SAYING- IRREGUARDLESS OF NATIONALITY OR EVEN STATE BOUNDARIES IS THAT THERE ARE ALOT OF VARIABLES INVOLVED IN THE EQUATION. SO MAAM, I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE WITH YOUR VIEW AS TO HOW EASY IT IS TO SELL THESE IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD OR AT LEAST NORTH AMERICA. FURTHERMORE I OBVIOUSLY SEE FLAWS IN BUSINESS PLANS WITHOUT KNOWING THERE IS A USE FOR YOUR PRODUCT NO MATTER HOW CUTE OR EXOTIC THE LIL BOOGERS ARE. IT WAS MERELY A WORD OF CAUTION TO THE OP. I TOO LIVE IN THE US, AND COULDNT PAY SOMEONE TO STEAL THEM FROM ME--- BEEN THERE AND TRIED IT! YET OTHER BREEDERS ON THIS FORUM IN THE SAME STATE AS I AM SEEM TO DO OK WITH BUTTONS. BASICALLY ITS ALL RELEVANT TO A MARKET THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE THERE.

That's a really good idea. I never thought of that! I have a ball python and for a rat it takes 21-23 days for the pregnancy. Then the rats aren't even weaned until they are 4-5 weeks. To get a rat to the size of a button it would take about 6 months or more. So using them as reptile food would be a practical use. I'm not about the nutritional differences though.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

It's one thing to use the ones that don't make it anyway.

I have a better idea. Lop the head off the snake...
