Prairie Flower Block Swap

I think I will make a new thread for the Arrowhead block, I really like this one,too and it's so easy, now I made the block using the 10.5 squares and it didn't finish out at 12.5, it was a 12" block, do we want to figure the cuts so it will be a 12.5 block or go with the 12" block? which when sewn it will actually be 11.5,

For a 12” finished Anita’s Arrowhead block: Cut two 10½” squares, sew the ¼” seams and follow the sewing instructions in Step 2, sewing and cutting 2¾” from the edge instead of 2”. Center and trim to 12½” x 12½”.

Do you have quilt blocks representing your area? I have found we actually have a quilt block for every state here in the US, if you do, thinking about a swap featuring this.

No, sadly we don't have blocks representing any areas here but if you want to do this swap why not allocate us a state that we have no swappers in?

Kat- re the arrowhead block, I'm away from home so will work it out when I get back.
I know I'm never at home! This is the holiday we were meant to be having before I found that we could get to Corfu cheaper than train tickets to London! We are staying up in Cumbria, near the gingerbread shop..........don't know if DH will let me go there but I will try! Just got here today and staying till next Sunday. I'm booked on a watercolour course on weds, can't wait!

Can we use 10 inch squares an then whatever size that finishes at? I have a whole stack of 10 inch precuts plus a die cutter for making 10 inch squares. I do not n it to finnish at 12 1/2 inch as I will not mix these blocks with r 12 1/2 inch blocks but I wil use them with each other.

I was thinking 10" squares would be the most logical to start with as people could use layer cakes if they wanted to. I'm guessing that the gap to leave would be 2 1/2".
Anna could you make one up and see if that would work and what size it finishes up?
