I've stayed out of tsc! I'm trying to think of something I can do to generate some spending money. I do miss my paycheck!!

Not the job though! I'm going to a pottery class in May with some of the grandchildren. A friend of mine is selling me a kiln. I thought maybe I could fire other peoples pottery projects for a small fee. Not sure how many people in my area are into pottery, but maybe some. It's just a thought.

Oh that will be such fun for you and the gkids and getting a kiln, that is so neat, put flyers and I bet you get some business and put up a yard sign I will have to post more pic of the babies that will hatch next week. I do hatch some of my own chicks, but I did buy some hens (babies) this year as my egg sells are growing and I need more eggs!! and when I get too many roos I sell them, that is how they pay for their feed and some of my fun money. I have contracted a local guy to build me a coop and pen the coop will be 7'x7' so they will start next month, I'm excited about that!!

Yep, they are mine. Yay, Post Office! I only got them in the mail Monday evening.

BTW, people - here's a fun trick. I get frustrated with a lot of waste, and I didn't like throwing away all those triangles, so here is what I did: After sewing the diagonal line, I sewed another diagonal a scant 1/2" away, then when I cut the triangle off, it was a color/white square. Then I sewed four of those together and presto - a pinwheel out of the scrap that I would have thrown away. I like to use the resulting pinwheels as part of the sashing in my quilts.

Hello Ladies, love got a couple of questions.
Firstly, someone suggested that we have a single block with a brownish centre and ayellow petals like a sunflower somewhere on our quilt. Does everyone like this idea? Is anyone doing these blocks? I am willing to do these blocks if they are wanted. I haven't started yet and our reduced price fabric supplier is here again on Sunday. You may remember I posted some photos a couple of years back when I went then. If folks don't think the odd square is wanted then happy to do yellow centres.
Secondly, most important, I want to put our recent Christmas block quilt into our local show in June as an example of a true friendship quilt. Can everyone who took part in this let me know who you are (first name and BYC site name), which block you did and where you live, may be by pm. I want to acknowledge everyone, then our group will have had a quilt in a show.
We've had a really mild winter, just very windy. April has started with typical weather, very showery, sometimes heavy but never for long, hail stones etc, windy, then hot sunshine. Well you know what they say here in England...if you don't like the weather just wait a minute!

I actually got 5 tops done. I did two with the animal panels in similar colors, just slightly different layouts. One with the Berenstain Bears and two with the 1930 square in a square fabric. Sorry I could not find the pictures of the finnished square in a square tops, one has a pink border and the other an orange border.

Hello majack! It's so good to hear from you! Your weather sounds like the weather around my area! Only we aren't hot yet. A warm day here and there, but mostly cool with 2-3 nights a week freezing or below! I'm ok with the sunflower block. Wish I could come to your fabric sale!!! I remember the pics you posted from it.
