I just want to give you some hope that when she comes home, she will be able to make it even if she can't lift the baby for a while.

I shattered my spine when my youngest was 4 months old. I couldn't lift her for 2 months. We got through it. Friends to come over and help out once in a while. Family to come by and help out. It was ok, we made it and that baby is now 5 years old.

So, been there, done that, when she comes home, they will find a way to make it work. it can be done!

I'm sure you've all already thought of this but you may want to set up a band account for donations so that they'll have help with highering help to help manage with the medical bills & to help help manage with phsyical help with the children and everyday things.


It goes without saying I'll keep her & her family in my prayers but I want to present the idea toyou that perhaps you & the group looking to help aren't already part of the answer to those prayers....

Praying for her and her family, I know what great prayer warriors we have on BYC, no matter what their personal belief,they Pray or sent their thoughts, and to me that's the same. Will they have someone that can come in when she gets home to help, I'm in middle tn, but if theres anything I can do PM me. we will be praying

Thank you everyone and thank you for the offer of help even from long distance. Prayers are what is needed now and the family, friends, and community will help when she comes home. Things are at the beginning of being organized for helping long term. We have been expecting her to come home anytime now and then someother road block happens.

Her husband has been spending most of his time up there. If he does go home it's to crash and go back. Some nights he stays there. The kids are at a wonderful in home daycare or at school during the day (except when a Grandma has off) during the week and with one or the other Grandmas at night and weekends.

The reason for no lifting is the heart valve replacement surgery. They split the sternum for that.

Once she comes home she will have to go back in for therapy 3 times a week and won't be able to drive.
