I'm glad the your DD's friend made it...lots of kids OD and don't.
As for being locked away, it can do a world of good especially since this seems like she was acting out and not being a serious attempt...
My mother was put away for 3 days because she stabbed herself with a fork in the stomach to mae a statement to my grandfather that she needed him...long story. But she called the police and I got the call from a family friend who heard it on the police scanner.

In MA you get 3 days involuntary before they reevaluate or you're detoxed or sober enough to check yourself out.

Maplesky, hugs and prayers to you also...you're a brave person to have gone through all that.

actually, yes. it has been a little confusing. the young lady was NOT taken to the hospital. the mother, for reasons that are too hard to explain, took her home.

it is a situation that is just going to need all the prayer it can get.

my daughter continues to love the young lady and show kindness.

that is about all that can be done at this time. we so appreciate everyone's heartfelt prayers and concerned thoughts.
