prayer request for my kid *update* last post (picture)

When my daughter was bitten, her first request was, "Please tell them not to kill the dog." The owner told me that the attack was unprovoked and he could never take the chance that it would happen again. They had the dog euthanized the next day and paid to have the head analyzed for rabies. He was an older dog that they said had been starting to become "grouchy", so there may have been some underlying health issues.

well i wish the inlaws would just put the dog down. its in quarteen (sorry spelling) for 2 weeks at their house. i have spoken to my mother in law today, and i told her to put the dog down if i was her. i think they want to keep this dog.

thats fine, dont expect 10 grandchildren to show up at your house. she tells me she will put the dog on the run or lock the dog in a room when kids are over. thats just ridiculas imo.

i dunno. my daughter has done well with our 2 shelties, espeicially with all thats going on.

she will be getting the stitches out wednesday. i cant wait!!!!

I have also spoken to her pre-k teacher and shes going to attend school tomorrow (to keep everything normal for her). the teacher will watch her and be sure no other students are commenting, they might tho.... little kids do that.

thank you for all your heartfelt comments, it means the world to me. i came here for support and i sure got it! (smile). i never mention this sort of thing on facebook, it would break my mother in laws heart. (shes on all the time).

have a great day...btw: the sun came out today and oh yeah it was shining!!!!

I am sorry that this happened to you and your daughter. I would also tell your daughter that the scar is a badge of honor. Try not to let it bother you then she will feel self conscious about it. This is the dogs fault not your DD. I hope your daughter heals well and there is no lasting damage either physically or mentally. Sending prayers.

I am so sorry this happened. Is you in laws home owners insurance paying for her medical care, and upcoming plastic surgery? If so they may force them to get rid of the dog after the quarenteen period is over.
