Prayer request for one of our own (Some news pg. 13)

Grease will upset his gut. He needs to stick to grease free food if possible. I wish I could say “eat this and this” but everyone is different and what may jack with me may not bother him.

Make him try the chamomile tea. You can find it at any grocery store, make sure to get the one with just the chamomile flowers, no other added flavorings. (warning: those with a very severe, dangerous allergy to ragweed should avoid chamomile as they are related plants. Odds of that being him is literally 1 in a 100 million)

Tell him to get back on his meds. A good many of the drugs used to treat Crohn's are also used to treat other inflammatory bowel diseases.

Most IBDs have an unknown cure, the meds treat the symptoms by attempting to reduce the inflammation. If the meds are not working than he needs to push them to change the meds.

Please ask him to list what meds they have him on.

I am wondering if there would be a way that you could call Roger or that Roger could call you direct as it seems to me that you might just be able to support Roger personally thru this as from the sounds of it you sure do know a lot about this.

Maybe someone could PM you Roger's # or you could PM your number to the lady who contacts Roger and see if you can help that way.

Praying for you as well as Roger because stomach problems lead to nutrient problems and that can kill ya before your blood work will even show it.

Hi all and thanks for your support. I haven't spoken to Roger since Monday, but I will be trying to contact him tomorrow morning. I am trying to give the doctors time to find something out and I do not want to phone him when he is feeling at his worse.

I know that he said that he feels fine in the mornings, but as the day progresses, then he starts feeling worse and starts feeling more weak and having no energy.

Actually, he hasn't been online in so long, he doesn't even know that I started this thread. I hope that this thread will at least make him feel better to know that we all care about him and are praying for him to get well soon.

I will let all of you know any new information as soon as I find something out.

Thanks,
Dorothy

Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you can about Roger's condition. Hopefully the next time you give us an update there will be some good news.

Roger can email me if he likes.

Hi all. As I had said earlier today, I will be calling Roger in the morning. I have been busy all day, so I haven't been online since this morning. Well, Roger had come online and sent me a quick message at 6:51 pm and said that he has had a "real cruddy day today," since he woke up this morning.

Also said that he cannot wait until he gets to Houston to find out what is causing this crud. I thought that he was already gone to Houston, but apparently not.

I will be phoning him in the morning to see when he will be going to Houston. If it isn't going to be within the next couple of days, then I think that I may take a trip to Sulphur.

As I said before, I have not met Roger in person, but have spoken to him on a regular basis, but he is a very nice man and this really has me worried.

I will let you all know something ASAP.

Thanks for caring.

Dorothy

I'm glad that someone can finally physically check up on him. Give him all our best and let him know we are all praying for him and his family. And of course that we all miss him.

Monica
