Micah 4:2
Many nations will come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Micah 5:7
Then the remnant of Jacob Will be among many peoples Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on vegetation Which do not wait for man Or delay for the sons of men.

Micah 5:8
The remnant of Jacob Will be among the nations, Among many peoples Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Which, if he passes through, Tramples down and tears, And there is none to rescue.

Micah 7:20
You will give truth to Jacob And unchanging love to Abraham, Which You swore to our forefathers From the days of old.

I agree we use pmsing as an excuse and it's become even acceptable as a means to get out of murder literally in some cases. The fact is we still responsible for our own action and if it take time to ask God for his help he helps but we have to remember he gave us a spirt of love of power and of sound mind. We have to use his gifts and promises. In some ways we can help it and others we can't but its like the breathing treatments I have to recognize when things are to blown up and when they aren't. Right now I am shaking and if the kids start fighting or throwing a fit I get mad and have to calm down so can handle them properly otherwise I am in the wrong.

Get out of MURDER?!
:th what have people come to...

Well said Jesusfreak :thumbsup

Last night in my awake time I was thinking about how God gave Gideon a problem and God wanted credit when the problem was defeated.

Judges 7New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Gideon’s 300 Chosen Men

7 Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him, rose early and camped beside the spring of Harod; and the camp of Midian was on the north side of them by the hill of Moreh in the valley.
2 The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’ 3 Now therefore come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is afraid and trembling, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.’” So 22,000 people returned, but 10,000 remained.
4 Then the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water and I will test them for you there. Therefore it shall be that he of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go with you; but everyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.” 5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels to drink.” 6 Now the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was 300 men; but all the rest of the people kneeled to drink water. 7 The Lord said to Gideon, “I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his home.” 8 So the 300 men took the people’s provisions and their trumpets into their hands. And Gideon sent all the other men of Israel, each to his tent, but retained the 300 men; and the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
9 Now the same night it came about that the Lord said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hands. 10 But if you are afraid to go down, go with Purah your servant down to the camp, 11 and you will hear what they say; and afterward your hands will be strengthened that you may go down against the camp.” So he went with Purah his servant down to the outposts of the army that was in the camp. 12 Now the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the sons of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore. 13 When Gideon came, behold, a man was relating a dream to his friend. And he said, “Behold, I had a dream; a loaf of barley bread was tumbling into the camp of Midian, and it came to the tent and struck it so that it fell, and turned it upside down so that the tent lay flat.” 14 His friend replied, “This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has given Midian and all the camp into his hand.”
15 When Gideon heard the account of the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship. He returned to the camp of Israel and said, “Arise, for the Lord has given the camp of Midian into your hands.” 16 He divided the 300 men into three companies, and he put trumpets and empty pitchers into the hands of all of them, with torches inside the pitchers. 17 He said to them, “Look at me and do likewise. And behold, when I come to the outskirts of the camp, do as I do. 18 When I and all who are with me blow the trumpet, then you also blow the trumpets all around the camp and say, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’”
Confusion of the Enemy

19 So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and smashed the pitchers that were in their hands. 20 When the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers, they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing, and cried, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Each stood in his place around the camp; and all the army ran, crying out as they fled. 22 When they blew 300 trumpets, the Lord set the sword of one against another even throughout the whole army; and the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the edge of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath. 23 The men of Israel were summoned from Naphtali and Asher and all Manasseh, and they pursued Midian.
24 Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against Midian and take the waters before them, as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan.” So all the men of Ephraim were summoned and they took the waters as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan. 25 They captured the two leaders of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, and they killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and they killed Zeeb at the wine press of Zeeb, while they pursued Midian; and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon from across the Jordan.

Aha! Now I understand why "Ephraim" caught my eye the other day... Oh, the awesome power of God, defeating a massive army with some trumpets and some faith. And then we have Ephraim, getting all jealous that they didn't get it on it.... The ox that lived to tread out the corn... I guess an ox with that job had a pretty cushy life, the well trained heifers got to eat while they worked, while the less than obedient oxen were ridden and used for ploughing. Ephraim was spoiled and fat and obnoxious, held themselves to some pretty high standards. Too high for God, evidently. Gideon had to butter them up after they got all jealous. And I'm assuming that their captivity ensued shortly thereafter... Job, failed to humble himself to God and had to be reprimanded. David, failed to even listen to God until he was threatened with the loss of his firstborn. He also was reprimanded. Massive failure to recognize the awesome power of a sovereign God. My brain got overloaded all of a sudden lol, but where's the verse that says, trust in the lord your God and lean not on your own understanding? It also led me to 1 Corinthians 10:12... Wherefore let he that thinketh he stands, take heed lest he fall. HUMBLE YOURSELVES before the mighty power of God rings a bell too....

Oh, yes I love that feeling when you feel God is right there listening! I am a new Christian (4/2/2016) and still learning. This last year and this year were hard for me but God was sooooo GOOD!I was getting to where I was of the mind God was not listening to me and didn't care of course that is not tru but sometimes I get that feeling anyway sometime 3 weeks ago it was one of those times and I was down, we run a courrier service and the business has not been going to good so on this next trip i asked God to give us 7 orders that very next evening we had SEVEN orders. That night i was crying about how i had not trusted him to caring me thu but then it also hit me that God gives us these little things to help us along and all i could say that night was "God you are so Good, God you are so loving!"

Sometimes when I pray from my heart I get this feeling in my heat and chest and I feel really happy and excited and I tear up a little. Is that feeling God?

You could say that ;) its your love for Him growing, the holy spirit, etc... It's that little "hole in your soul" that was meant for God to dwell in. It's an awesome feeling isn't it? :)

Welcome! Isn't He awesome?!

Ive felt that way too recently, that maybe God wasn't concerned or He forgot about me. Turns out I forgot about Him, but all I had to do was remember everything He's done for me over the course of my life and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Not only did he not forget, he was calling me ever so quietly, patiently waiting for me to listen and reply ;)

Great to have you here with us, make yourself at home :)

@Flock Master64, your question made me think of Psalm 51....

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart

you, God, will not despise.
18 May it please you to prosper Zion,
to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,
in burnt offerings offered whole;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

This chapter is pretty much what turned my life around. I came to Christ begging to have my heart cleansed of all my evil thoughts, my pride, my sins, so I could have a clean slate to start "life" over with. It's also why I got baptized, to me symbolic of being pure, clean, washed in the blood of Christ.

When we call on Him to dwell in our hearts, we are finally set free from the slavery of being sinners. We inherently give GOD permission to dwell in his own people. Jesus is the bridge that closes the gap between God and ourselves. :)

Yes, that feeling in your heart is God :)

Me Without You Lyrics

Raindrops rolling off my brim
Streetlights got the pavement glistenin'
Touchdown, I've fallen into Your arms
Right where I belong
Your everlasting arms

And where would I be Without you
I'd be packing my bags when I need to stay
I'd be chasing every breeze that blows my way
I'd be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away
It's true
That's me without you (X3)
Don't know where I'd be without you

Flashback
Stepping through the scene
There's You and there's a very different Me
Touchdown, You had me at believe
You had me at believe, You did

And where would I be without You
I'd be packing my bag when I need to stay
I'd be chasing every breeze that blows my way
I'd be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away
It's true
That's me without you (X3)
Don't know where I'd be without you

Where would I be?
You rescued me
You are mine, I am Yours
You rescued me
And I am Yours forever
You saved me, remade me,
Where would I be?

I'd be packing my bags when I need to stay
I'd be chasing every breeze that blows my way
I'd be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away
It's true

I'd be packing my bags when I need to stay
I'd be chasing every breeze that blows my way
I'd be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away
It's true

That's me without you
That's me without you
That's me without you
Don't know where I'd be without you
That's me without you
Don't know where I'd be without you
