Quote: Thank you!
Oh, YES HE IS!
With the struggles of this year, I was mentally worn down and just couldn't see where he was at in my life but he was right there waiting for me to wake up to him. The cool thing is once you are thru the rough times, you can look back and see that he was there!
Here's what I think I want to do in the military.

Ok.... I went through the book of Luke.. This is a huge list! Starting with the 5th chapter... He also told them a parable: "No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. If he does, he will tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine desires new, for he says, 'The old is good.'" Luke 5:36-39 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.5.36-39.ESV Chapter 6 "But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. "Woe to you who are full now, for you shall be hungry. "Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. "Woe to you, when all people speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets. Luke 6:24-26 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.6.24-26.ESV "If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. Luke 6:32-34 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.6.32-34.ESV He also told them a parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye. "For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, Luke 6:39-43 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.6.39-43.ESV "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? Luke 6:46 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.6.46.ESV But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great." Luke 6:49 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.6.49.ESV Chapter 7.... Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little." Luke 7:47 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.7.47.ESV Chapter 8... Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away." Luke 8:18 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.8.18.ESV But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it." Luke 8:21 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.8.21.ESV Chapter 9.... And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.9.23.ESV Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." Luke 9:62 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.9.62.ESV Chapter 11... Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. Luke 11:23 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.11.23.ESV Chapter 12... But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! Luke 12:5 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.12.5.ESV but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Luke 12:9-10 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.12.9-10.ESV And he said to them, "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." Luke 12:15 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.12.15.ESV Chapter 13... No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:3, 5 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.13.3-5.ESV "Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us,' then he will answer you, 'I do not know where you come from.' Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!' In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out. Luke 13:24-28 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.13.24-28.ESV Chapter 14.... For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 14:11 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.14.11.ESV For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.'" Luke 14:24 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.14.24.ESV "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26-27, 33 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.14.26-33.ESV Chapter 16... No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." And he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. Luke 16:13, 15 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.16.13-15.ESV Chapter 17... Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. Luke 17:33 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.17.33.ESV Chapter 18... I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted." Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." Luke 18:14, 17 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.18.14-17.ESV For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." Luke 18:25 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.18.25.ESV And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life." Luke 18:29-30 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.18.29-30.ESV Chapter 19... 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. "But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:34-36 ESV http://bible.com/59/luk.21.34-36.ESVI have tried to pick verses that depict how "strict" Christianity is and how narrow minded Jesus was, please be careful, when reading spiritual literature always spend some time reading the Bible every time you read the spiritual literature to see if the author of the "spiritual" literature supports Jesus' narrow gate. Please add to the "strict and narrow minded" verses that quote Jesus. John 14:6 New American Standard Bible (NASB) [SUP]6 [/SUP]Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Matthew 7:14 NASB For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:21 NASB “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
