Revelation Song

Worthy is the,
Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to Him who sits on
Heaven's Mercy Seat
[Repeat 2x]

(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You…!
Yeah!

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and
Glory and power be
To You the Only Wise King,
Yeah

(Chorus)

Filled with wonder,
Awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your Name
Jesus, Your Name is Power
Breath, and Living Water
Such a marvelous mystery
Yeah...

(Chorus)

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come,
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And – I - will - adore YOU…

(Chorus) (Repeat at a cappella)

Come up lift up His Name
To the King of Kings…
We will adore YOU Lord…
King of heaven and earth
King Jesus, King Jesus
Aleluya, aleluya, aleluya!
Majesty, awestruck Honor
And Power and Strength and Dominion
To You Lord,
To the King, to King
To the King of Glory

Chorus (Repeats)

Just sharing a couple pics...

Yesterday...

400

And today..

400

The fire has been contained, 3 homes lost but it could have been so much worse. The sunrise this morning was so gorgeous compared to the smoke yesterday... And there's just a slight breeze. Another beautiful day God has granted us.

Thank you all for your prayers, we sure appreciate it. God bless you and have a glorious day. :)

Wow that's amazing! Sad about the homes but you are right - it could have been far worse and the sunrise is beautiful!! Was anybody in the homes?

Most definitely, praise God! The way these fires can get out of control we were truly blessed that it's over in only one day. We can panic so easily but knowing that there will be a sunrise anyway helps a little ;)

They don't think so, or if they were occupied the residents got out in time, as there are no reported injuries. Lots of hard work from the firefighters and a lot of help from God I'm sure :)

You know, K, you asked a question last night that I've been thinking about... Why we, as Christians, are so hard on other people that are addicted or struggling with sin... I honestly think we (or I) could be doing so much more in that respect. I feel that part if it is my Christian duty to "reprove" or "admonish" my brothers and sisters, like, as far as drinking..since I no.longer am a slave to that, I can help lead my sisters and brothers that are still battling it into a way out. But I think it's the worldy people that need guidance even more. I told you about that street in Denver, that scary street, and then I said that I prayed for those people to find Jesus. And then I walked away from them, without even offering a way out. Because I'm scared to be persecuted or made fun of, or even worse, be tempted back into.it myself.

I'm selfish. That stinks :(

I'm going to make more of an effort to not shut the door on those who are stuck in sin. I need to be better at guiding and leading instead of judging from afar.

When I say "the church" should help more or counsel more, or go find these people and get them help in finding God, I am actually talking about ME. I need to get off my rear end and DO my duty, not just push it off on someone else. It's an uncomfortable place to be, but I was never told being a Christian would be easy. In fact, I read in the Bible numerous places where it flat out says I WILL be persecuted and shunned, but that I still need to do the work of the Lord.

So, I guess in a nutshell, we are hard on those people because we might just be scared of what we don't understand and scared to get involved because it might put us out of our "comfort zone".

That needs to change, IMO. and I can only change it through Jesus and doing Gods will, not my own. I'm going to have to do better from now on ;)

Quote: I don't think anyone here is attacking drug users. What we are doing is attacking the drug use, which is the sin. The bottom line is... why are people using drugs? IMO, it's to dull the pain, at least for a little while. To put a band aid over the gaping hole in their soul which can only be filled with Jesus.

Quote: WE are the church. It is not my little church here in Hampden Maine, or the church that SG attends, or Ocap attends. But, we are the CHURCH of Jesus Christ.

Church
The word translated "church" in the English Bible is ekklesia. This word is the Greek words kaleo (to call), with the prefix ek (out). Thus, the word means "the called out ones."

We are each a member of the Body of Christ. And, SG is correct. We are all called to step out of our personal comfort zones, take a stand for Jesus, and ask, "Jesus, what might you have me do today to advance Your kingdom?"

And SG is also correct in that we avoid what we don't understand. We tend to segregate ourselves with people who are like us. How easy it is to never reach out to that hungry soul, the one who is different than us. It was to those outcasts that Jesus reached out to.

So, my prayer for today and this week: "Jesus, please open my eyes to the people and the needs that I meet today. Help me to love as You love. Put a bridle on my tongue."

Have a blessed day. Will be back with Peter and the transfiguration later.

Thanks, LG, I never knew that's what "church" actually means! That makes me feel good, but then bad at the same time oddly.... But its probably my moral compass screaming "guilty", since I have no excuse to not know these verses... Jesus himself speaking here in Matthew 25.... "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?' Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:31‭-‬46 ESV http://bible.com/59/mat.25.31-46.ESV Ouch. :(

I want to encourage the reader of this thread to try and find the Old Testament "pointing" to events in the New Testament that are usually not covered in the weekly sermons. God wanted the blood sprinkled on the altar,,, and when Jesus was pierced ,,, blood was sprinkled at the base of the cross

Exodus 24:6 NASB
Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

John 19 NASB
34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
