prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Well 2 years ago my cousin was deppressed. I prayed that she would be better and did not know why she was so sad.

The next day after she hung herself

Everytime i pray for something it goes horribly wrong. I have learned to live in the moment. If you just hope for something there is no way you can affect the outcome. We have a saying and its "if ya want somethin ya gotta work for it otherwise life might just throw the worst its got at ya" while i am catholic but do not follow strictly all my family before me is and it wasnt me that made the saying. But i sure hope you guys like it

If god created all of his creations with intent on nosuffering to come tothan any of them than why does the superior species humans ruthlessly destroy and consume everything in its path taking all rescorces until there is nothing left. While this procsses of colonization is slow its is basicly defined as suffering. Making his "most impressive" creation a bringer of suffering in its write

Hey, I'm not religious either!! :frow

Religion is such BS with all it's twisting of the truth and adding of it's own rules.. such a distraction from the TRUTH and loaded with judgmental hypocrites turning seekers away from God to boot! :he

Questions are awesome!!! And a great way to discover the Truth. :old

So I am a Christian, a follower of Jesus. I don't go to church and I don't buy hype. But I seek the truth in EVERYTHING I do, hate liars! I am a very over thinking and deductive reasoning type person. With all of MY personal experience and what little knowledge I DO have... I fully believe in creation.

Anyways... in all my years of reading the Bible, I never saw it say "God made creation with the intent of no suffering". He made mosquitoes! It says quite the opposite that those who live for Him WILL suffer. That kind of makes those of us who know that a little crazy! :p But really anyone who is married knows you WILL suffer as a side effect of being in that relationship. But the pros outweigh the cons (for some). You will have somebody who knows and feels your pain but accepts you despite your short comings. You will know they have your back and be in perfect peace without fear of their actions. For you know that EVEN if you DON'T understand EVERYTHING they do, they will NEVER leave you or forsake you and they will ALWAYS consider you even if they have to make a decision you may not like.

Honestly nature is brutal, not just humans! Some animals are eaten alive or worse left to die slowly.

But just imagine, if you've had kids... no matter you do your best to bring them up right... they still may break the law or kick their brother. They talk back and stick their tongues out at you. Humans are like that to God... they just gotta find out the hard way that the flame it HOT!

My question.. if He is ALL knowing.. why make creation fore knowing it spin off into this mess? And why choose a family to keep it going if the cycle will just repeat? Why create angels if 1/3 would rebell... why not just make the first 2/3?

Anyways, I have so many more questions that haven't yet been answered to my satisfaction! But that doesn't change what I DO understand. It's really helpful to have someone ask questions they don't understand verses someone who is just trying to argue... gives us as believers a chance to really grow and consider why we believe what we do! :highfive:

Regarding your statement about humans ruthlessly consuming everything in their path... all animals I've seen will do exactly that. They consume until it's gone and then move on looking for more to consume with no regard for the past or the future. The more NATURE I see, the LESS hateful I become towards humans... who although they SHOULD have the understanding and awareness of the process and their impact on it... are simply doing what comes natural to them. :( Being conscious of yourself and others is to a degree, supernatural! :yesss: Learning to love more of those I appreciate instead of focusing on the hate I feel for the cruelty I see in the world, helps me to rise above instead of joining in.

I do MY part to be diligent with the resources provided me... even then, sometimes they are squandered away. Learning from our experience is key. Sadly not all people can learn! But before I get way off.. we are taught that a NEW heaven and earth will be a part of the second coming. I look forward to the second coming, because I KNOW my place in this life! So as sad as it is to see this country/world/earth and all it's states of affairs... the more I REJOICE that the day of the Lord is near! :celebrate No, I don't rejoice in the suffering... but I can't let those who refuse to see the TRUTH take me down to their HOPELESS pit of despair. I focus my eyes and heart on things that are NOT of this world. To me the most impressive creation is NOT man... but the actual circle of LIFE, all things are connected!

I hope if you have any questions or comments that they will be responded to in a way that makes sense to your heart, and that there would be no misleading. That the hypocritical church fades into the body of Christ it is supposed to be and starts being an open place for other seekers to feel the Love.

But know for sure that ALL things, even that which appears to be appalling... Work together for those that Love God and are called according to HIS purpose! Even Satan is just a TOOL! :tongue

Note, the sun shines and the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. What I mean by that is that some people are stupid, while others are not. Seen the movie Idiocrasy (SP)? Nope, this planet is not going to recover from it's current state! I do my best and forget the rest. I can only control my own actions, and sometimes not even those. (sadly) :caf

Well put , I couldn't add anything to that

I am so sorry for your loss! :hugs

As a person who suffers from very real mental pain/illness and HAS tried to take their own life... I can tell you she took the easy way out and left YOU behind to suffer.

I'm so sorry if you felt betrayed when your cousin was successful at taking her own life. I felt that same betrayal when God didn't take me home that day! :hit Took quite a while for me to get past it. And sometimes, no matter how good life is, I just don't care... this isn't my home, I'm an alien to this world and I would STILL rather die. Thing is God MIGHT have used her death to draw someone else near to him. Some people do suffer for the good of someone else. It's NOT always about us, we just can't see the whole picture. :(

So yes, that day God rejected me from heaven ... was a catalyst point for healing in my whole chosen (not birth) family! :yesss: I cannot even begin to tell you the different dynamic that has taken place. It was my intention to go HOME that day. Instead God made my current home a much more loving, yet still sometimes painful place to live.

I wish I had more words of comfort or wisdom for you. But all I can say I'm sorry for the pain you have felt. And I hope you also will continue to heal and become whole, understanding that just as parents sometimes say no, so will God. Hang in there, and hold your head high, looking towards the truth. Don't be mislead by the little voice that say's "see God doesn't care what you pray for". God does care! And, your cousin is no longer suffering the pain that consumed her, we couldn't understand. Personally, I don't see suicide as a deal breaker for heaven. That's between her and God! I promise there are many "worse sinners" we will see there. So please let your heart be at peace knowing that.. God is merciful! :yesss:
