Great to see this thread! Im new to chickens and this form!! So far it seems like God made chickens for more then just eating!

I'm new here my name is Paul I wasn't saved until i was 35 .I lived like hell literally until then . I am 53 now married and have 2 children Will 12 and Lauren 3 .
We have battled both spiritually and physically ,cancer in my wife's body. Right now she takes an experimental treatment from Pfizer. We are blessed that they are picking up tab. I am proud to say I serve a covenant making, covenant keeping God .
I teach an adult discipleship class at church. So i went from living in the sewer to living in a mansion . I am truly a miracle that could only be by God.

My Dad just found this song the other day and it has became one of my favorites over the last few days!

Thru all my struggles these past few weeks, migraine headache, headaches, Uncle in ICU, Grandpas NOT doing well... Uncle, adopted grandpa, grandpa billy, all not saved and on the edge of death, This song has really helped...

I woke up with this song in my heart this morning.

btw, Mom had a baby boy! He is 8 pounds and 19 inches long... We named him Roger after papa!

It is really good!

I've heard it a lot but never really thought much about it... I read a lot but for some reason I get the most out of songs... I just have a hard time understanding the scripture but over the last year It has become easier for me to pick up on things.

Why is this religeous stuff on a chicken forum

Because there are a lot of people who love Jesus on this chicken forum. And we are blessed to live in a country where we are free to worship our God.

Well 2 years ago my cousin was deppressed. I prayed that she would be better and did not know why she was so sad.

The next day after she hung herself

Everytime i pray for something it goes horribly wrong. I have learned to live in the moment. If you just hope for something there is no way you can affect the outcome. We have a saying and its "if ya want somethin ya gotta work for it otherwise life might just throw the worst its got at ya" while i am catholic but do not follow strictly all my family before me is and it wasnt me that made the saying. But i sure hope you guys like it

Legendchicken, I'm glad you have joined us. I'm sorry you lost your cousin to such a tragic death. Depression can be all consuming. It can beat a person up to the point where they can not see any way out of their pain and suffering. It can make them think that there will never be a bright tomorrow, an end to the sadness and misery in sight. Some depression is situational, or caused by a temporary issue, and will get better over time. Sometimes counseling helps, sometimes medication is also required. Suicide removes all hope of a happy day ahead. And it hurts those left behind. People like you, who loved your cousin very much. I pray that you will find some answers to the hurts you've experienced here on this thread. We're here to support each other, to learn more about God, and to pray for each other's needs.
