Hope I don't offend or get in trouble but seems like most Christian songs are about how great God is or about how there's forgiveness for stuff you did wrong, which is all true, but what about s***** situations? Are there any about that? YOU didn't do anything wrong but the situation still sucks. Or being mad. Idk, so many act like everything's perfect and the one's that don't and actually address stuff don't really apply atm. Well, some do, which is great, but still. There has to be more.

Sorry BYCer's I feel kind of dumb praying in public (here) with my limited vocabulary, knowledge about what I should pray for, and inability to fully express my heart felt conversation with God. But He knows I'm sincere! And I know it's what you do in private that counts, but I was compelled this time.

You should never feel dumb for speaking to God! And I am oh so very thankful that we can join together to pray publicly. May it forever be so.

But idk, I guess maybe part of the problem is the messages get so overheard/cliche or something? Like I hear them so much and theoretically know them they like lose their meaning? Idk if I'm explaining it right haha

But I think I know where you're going with this, I just heard this at either a concert or maybe I read it in a devotional thing, idk, i wish i remembered, and that they read them and realized there's 3 main types of psalms, i think one was like praise, and idk, i forget those 2 and the other is like in distress/crying out/whatever, idk, and apparently that's the most common type of psalm? I thought that was nice, not the only one who's crazy lol, but i haven't actually read them myself. And maybe this isn't where you were going with this

But i think that might be part of the problem, i never actually read the Bible or devotionals or anything. Or I do when i need it and promise I will or commit to God or listen to tons of Christian music or go on here but I never actually do it or like I said, I do but then never again until the next time. I never actually grow my faith and wonder why I'm still having problems/blame it on God lol

Actually, that first link I shared before the video, the FB thing, is somewhat about that. You should read it, I thought it was really good

I was about to come on here all mad at God last night till He showed me that aha and I almost didn't click on ot, saw it in a group and thought it was spam lol

It was like you know, you don't really try either lol

But then again I've also heard you're not supposed to have to do anything, believing is enough, or that it's not about what we do but what God does, so then why doesn't He help? Maybe I don't believe hard enough, maybe it's true/actual believers who actually read His stuff. Or maybe it's my attitude... aha maybe if I stop doubting so much or coming at Him with so much attitude He might help or change some things.

I've also heard how you don't have to do anything when you ask Him in (so maybe you have to ask first) and He does the work/healing hearts or whatever and to just not get in the way lol but I've also heard a modified version, you still need to do a little work aka like if He asks you to do something, listening and doing it maybe, in addition to not getting in the way. Probably the biggest part. So idk what to believe. Like for instance, if He said you had to see a therapist or move or something, like that He can't work/do His job if you don't listen or get in the way, but then, again, I've also heard that He can work anyway no matter what and doesn't need our help so idk

All I keep hearing, or have heard before, is conflicting each other
