Apparently we're all having a family meeting with him tomorrow at the hospital. For some random reason....I happen to be off tomorrow...and I didn't even ask it off...

As we gathered for our meeting, we received a phone call from the hospital. Grandpa was going downhill fast. My dad had JUST talked to the Dr. about his condition and all of a sudden he was crashing. We arranged to meet at the hospital. The news wasn't good.

We were supposed to meet in order to discuss what the living arrangements were going to be after grandpa got out of the hospital. He made the decision for us. He passed away tonight at approximately 12:00AM.

How was it that he passed when all of us were meeting? He had no knowledge of our meeting. How was it that all of us were able to meet at the same time at the same place with no work to hinder our gathering? How was it that he started crashing as soon as all of us were in Muskogee? How is that possible. The meeting was originally planned for Tuesday night, but one person couldn't make it, so they changed it to Wednesday night at 7PM. At exactly 6:53PM on my dashboard, we were redirected to the hospital.

What's more, is that we hadn't eaten so my cousin and I made a "food run" to get food for everyone. It took approximately 20 minutes to get everything for everyone. We got back and he passed 10 minutes after we got back.

My cousins and I have simply stated "it's a God thing." Because there is simply too many coincidences to make it a coincidence.

This is the 2nd death in my family, both of my dad's parents, within 5 months. Please pray for him especially when you pray tonight, if you pray tonight.

Sorry for your loss. I've heard other stories similar to this - that patients have waited for family members to leave for the night to pass away, etc. My DH's mother held on six hours while he drove to PA to be by her bedside. She never regained consciousness, but we know she knew he was there when she passed.

Hugs and prayers for you and your family.
