Honestly? Go for the StraightTalk through Wal-Mart. They've got cool phones and use the same towers (which means the same coverage) as Verizon.

$45 per month will get you unlimited talk, text and web. I "think" you have to pay for the phone.

No, but since the minutes are unlimited, there shouldn't be an issue of rollover.

You can pay according to length, that way there is no contract. I would do the year-long service, but many like to do the month by month so that they won't be stuck with it.

I also had a trac phone. The coverage was great. We are in an area with a bit of a coverage gap and that phone worked where the regular cells would not. It was not cheap though. Still I liked the phone.

Tracfone here.... LOVE IT. Hate cell phones though

I pay $20 every 3 months for mine and usually have minutes left over that just keep rolling over.
For hubby's we are at $20 a month but he has to use it to find a real job while on break at the crap job.

MUCH cheaper than a contracted cell service, of which the cheapest we could get out here would be $40+tax/fees a month for EACH of us.

Only issues we have with coverage are the same for everyone out here in the middle of flipping nowhere. Coverage for everyone sucks out here.
