Predator help!!

so three weeks ago ive been having some predator come and eat my chickens heads off and then after we barricaded the chickens it killed 8 of our baby Muscovy, and also ate some of out kittens. so then 3-4 weeks later it has now came back my aunts chickens (same farm) something killed 5 of her big chickens and for four chickens it ate the butt out of them and there was a rooster and it tore that up and ate almost everything on it then the next day nothing happened. so we waited and its been coming every other day so then it came again it somehow unlocked our chicken cage because the door was wide open and no other chickens got out we have about 30 in that coop and killed one of our chickens and ate the butt out of my big grey cochin hen but then she was still alive you could see everthing hanging out of her intestines and other nasty stuff so that we had to put her out of her misery because there was no way we could stitch it. so then next day we set a live trap and fly bait mixed with jelly and put it out it did eat the poison that was outside but didnt go in the trap. and now today we put big panels fences everywhere around the chicken pens and it some how got in and killed my cuckoo maran hen and ate the behind out. and ate a bowl of poison outside. What animal is doing this to my ducks and chickens and how do i get rid of it??

A coon.They love grape jelly.And they will keep coming back.They also can use their thump to open latches.

It sounds as though you got more than one predator. In my area raccoons, opossums and bobcats come to mind. Possums and raccoons are usually easy to catch in a trap but I have never had any luck catching a bobcat in the standard size raccoon/possum trap BUT I have caught many of them in the biggest live catch trap using a live chicken in the bait section-----no the cat can not get to the chicken in the trap. You need to secure your pen----its not secure if something is getting in it every other night. A bobcat, possum or coon can scale a wall and go through the rafter openings if they are not blocked off. A bobcat will usually kill several, then it might eat some and take one with it when it leaves, but it will be back the next night for another of the ones it killed---unless they are gone--cleaned up by the humans---then it will kill some more.
A possum and coon will usually kill one and set there and eat it out. They might kill more than one if they do not get a quick kill---like grab one and tear it up but it gets away so they just grab another one--kill it and the other dies too.

I put up a game camera when needed but the biggest thing I use that works the best when I got a BAD problem NOW is a Monitor and I sleep in my clothes with a light, gun ready---as soon as a chicken hollers in the night I am out the door as fast as I can be, But with a goal to try and catch the animal---not scare it off before I even get close---hollering etc. I have caught several in the chicken yard and shoot them on the spot---that's saying a lot because my chicken yard is 1/2 mile from my house---I fly back there using no lights(if possible), go through the gate quietly, get to the chicken pen then turn on the light and try to spot it and hope to get it out the coop so I do not have to shoot inside the coop and bust the chickens ear drums. No a Baby Monitor will not work 1/2 a mile but a GMRS voice activated radio will work several miles. That's what I use.

Now for the last 2 years I have not had any problem even with as many as 1200+ chickens in the same area because I have a Great Pyrenees that watches over them. I have found a dead possum or two and some dead stray tom cats, but knock on wood no dead chickens with 67 chicken pens loaded with chickens until I sold most a few months ago.
