The five toes narrows it down to most likely a weasel, mink,or skunk. Coon and possum prints look like tiny people hands and the prints definitely aren't feline or canine. The Fisher weasel is definitely a suspect, a size reference would help narrow it down.

i think its fisher cat. OBVIOUSLY looking up the suspect paw prints online is helpful. I do miss a good set of encyclopaedia, books are more fun.

good plan. In Ireland, there are only a few suspects to choose from in the line up. Connecticut is a beautiful state.

Look like Skunk tracks to me. Not a Possum for sure. They just don't strike me as racoon tracks.

i looked at that as well. then i looked at predators to chickens specifically in Connecticut.

Could be. I'm sure its something in the weasel family. Martin, Fisher, Skunk, Mink

Thank you everyone! I have looked at charts online and I can’t seem to figure it out. Leaning towards a fisher, but hoping it wasn’t (they scare me!). Here are some photos with a quarter for size comparison.
