You added the word "good" to the post you quoted. And while a Benelli is a high quality shotgun there are many lesser priced shotguns that will get the job quite well. That being the job of eliminating predator/pest critters.

I just saw a Marlin model 60 .22LR for $175.00 online. It was used but in near perfect condition--even had a scope mounted.

I just saw a Winchester Defender 12 guage pump for $305.62. I have one of these and it will do the job.

BTW I also saw a Benelli Nova Pump 20000 12 guage for $379.00.

The 12 guages are at ableammo.com and the .22 Marlin at gunsamerica.com--they have lots of them, some for less.

So let's see $175.00
$305.62
Total $480.62

Beats a $600 air rifle. Either will kill most predators.
