I'm familiar with electric fence for 3 thousand pound horses not 3 pound chickensPut a hotwire around the pen and coop. There is a thread in this forum by HowardE that is Electric Fencing Basics. It is an excellent source for those not familiar with electric fencing.
I've caught 2 foxes out of 4 and killed 2 skunks out of 3 and how do we catch the coyote that walk through our yardI can't say anything about fencing but it is possible to trap the foxes. Some people here have had success using live birds as bait (in a secure pen attached to the trap) i trapped my fox with the dead birds he had killed. I butted a wire pen up to the trap, tied the doors open and baited the pen with a dead bird. Once he had taken that, I baited it with a second bird but closed the pen door so he had to try going through the trap.
Also, I'm sorry, had to laugh about the skunk. ONLY because I released a skunk once too out of pity and the whole time was thinking PLEASE GOD DON'T SPRAY ME. I was very, very lucky.
Wow. Well done!!I've caught 2 foxes out of 4 and killed 2 skunks out of 3 and how do we catch the coyote that walk through our yard
Just curious, we've dispached a skunk and the body released spray when it relaxed after death. The yard stunk for a week. Does this not happen your way too?Live trap under a tarp. You can then approach from the blind and work with your prize.
CO2 fire extinguisher, or welding gas bottle(argon, 75/25 etc). Weight edges and run a hose under. Four wheeler exhaust works too. No spraying this way. Extinguisheris hard to regulate so it’s deadly. The argon and four wheeler I let run for ten minutes or so.
Yes let's make a Afghanistan backyardWow. Well done!!
Re: the coyote: landmines?
