Predators came to visit las night

Had coyotes come up last night took 3 of my guineas. When I shut them in at dark there were 5 on the roof of the coop, 2 inside and 3 on the ground. I figured they would get up on the roof like they did the night before so I didn't try to put them in. This morning I went to open the door at dawn and counted 7 started looking and found nothing but feathers. So tonight wile e coyote will get a treat of poison bait. No dogs around for miles so that's not a worry. Also have predator call I will use just before dark.

That's great information. If I don't get mine cooped in time they will roost in a tree but there have been times when I went to go inside my house and there were a couple on the ground. Like you I would have thought they would have flown up. Guess not. Thanks for information. I will be more diligent from now on!
